last night’s blow session resulted in some large twisted cane platters. i also blew another large lamp shade. this one is in dark green with an “aventurine” green outer coating giving it sparkles.

saturday night’s blow

July 19th, 2009 — 4:43pm

Had a great night of glass with Carrie yesterday. Another lamp shade and some various bowl shapes were spun out. The skinny & wide black and white one on the top shelf measured in at over 21″, by far my largest (that survived). It barely fit in the annealer!

etsy treasury

I took a stab at creating an Etsy treasury. It seems that the treasury system is one of the few free promotional and traffic driving tools for Etsy. Sort of a viral marketing thing, in that you get “favorited” by users featured in and viewing it, and you then have a better chance at getting in a treasury in the future. I chose my featured items by browsing my “favorite” sellers, looking for blue & green items. I found the rest by using the “search by colors” Etsy interface and easily found an eclectic mix of items in my color scheme.
