mom found this amazing cecropia caterpillar today on their apricot tree. this guy will get up to 5 inches long and will winter over before emerging as a moth next spring. gonna have to avoid a lot of mocking birds until then!

in my second class with austin glassblower Aaron Gross, he shared the 16th century venetian technique of pulling latticino cane with clear and white glass

to prevent the end of the cane from being wasted, he gathered clear glass over it to create a paperweight
