the tangerine and red fluted tealight vase strikes again!

blown art glass – texas wildflowers – multimedia oddities
a carrot inspired etsy treasury included my blown carrot bud vase

Had a great night of glass with Carrie yesterday. Another lamp shade and some various bowl shapes were spun out. The skinny & wide black and white one on the top shelf measured in at over 21″, by far my largest (that survived). It barely fit in the annealer!
This is a reblog of a post at my 1000 Markets shop.
Here’s this morning’s cold kiln fun. I’ve been trying out new shapes for my spun bowls, incorporating colored cane that my wife (the killer assistant) and I had pulled in previous blow sessions. By snipping down the sides of the bubble with the straight shears, I’m able to spin out shapes that vary from arrowheads to galaxies. So much fun it is!
Seen in the photo here on the bottom layer of the kiln are some large fluted flower bowls. More than one person has asked me when I show them my flower bud vases, “Can you drill a hole in that and put a lightbulb in it?” Yes you can, so last night I blew some prototypes that I will be testing out as lamp pendants. Lighting is another passion of mine that I will be putting much focus on with my glassblowing in the future.

Man this little tangerine & red fluter is cookin’ up the Etsy Treasuries!

My orange and red striped blown glass tea light is a hot Treasury item right now!

Wolf Art Glass made it into 3 different Etsy treasuries today. Yeehaa, let’s sell some glass!!
