carbonite off-site backup for mac

it took exactly 5 weeks of continuous upload to backup all my photography and music, but it’s finally done. nearly 200 gigs of data safely backed up off-site. thanks carbonite!

    Dean: I know what you mean about bandwidth caps. The cable guys keep trying these because they have an infrastructure that really wasn’t designed for the Internet. Frankly, I don’t think the bandwidth caps will stick because FiOS vendors whack them every time they try to impose a cap.

    Howdy David, thanks for stopping by! I suppose my SEO is working well with Google.

    I really wish we had options like Sprint’s FiOS for high speed Internet here in Austin, but until more players come to town we’re at the mercy of TW and whatever offerings they decide to parse out, or cap under the vise of “consumption based billing.” Thankfully they have backed off to do more research into what their users are doing with the bandwidth. I have had good service with them, but would love competition to drive the monthly rates down.

    Thanks again for the note. It speaks volumes for your company’s concern about the end user’s experience with the Carbonite backup service!
