inspiring day of glassblowing

January 26th, 2009 — 11:37pm

Aaron Gross taught a second glass blowing lesson today to David, a deaf, mute, and legally blind student. David communicates with Santiago, his interpreter, and works the hot glass medium with an amazingly natural hand. A very inspiring day at the hot shop. light painted redbud

January 21st, 2009 — 11:30pm

I was highly inspired by Troy Paiva’s light painting in Lost America on Flickr. Night photography is so much about light utilization, and I do love to play with light… The redbuds were lit with front porch lights and side lit with a high powered flashlight and sheet of Spectrum 96 Cherry Red Cathedral art glass.
Thanks for the link Jeremy
